What are the issues to pay attention to during the charging and discharging of lithium iron phosphate batteries?

1. Charge according to standard time and procedure, even for the first three times;

2. When the battery level is too low, it is advisable to start charging as soon as possible;

3. The activation of lithium-ion batteries does not require special methods, as they will naturally activate during normal use. If you insist on using the popular 12 hour long charging activation method for the first three times, it will not actually be effective.

Therefore, all practices that pursue 12 to 16 hours of ultra long charging and use lithium iron phosphate batteries for automatic shutdown are wrong. If you have followed the wrong statement before, please correct it in a timely manner, perhaps it is not too late.

If the current of a series battery is consistent, the one with lower capacity will be fully charged first during charging. However, the overall voltage of the battery has not yet reached the charging cut-off voltage. Continuing to charge will overcharge and discharge the same amount. If the number of cycles is too many, it will be damaged. Therefore, there is always the worst situation for a series battery.

The protection board is not a single charging device, but a protection device. If it does not have a balancing function, it is the worst way to fully charge it for protection, but in reality, it is not fully charged as a whole. Even with a balance protection board, it is still a false balance. By using a bypass resistor, the fully charged internal battery is bypassed and other batteries are continued to be fully charged, achieving the overall full charge effect. Because the power of the bypass resistor is limited, usually 100mAh is very large. In fact, for the entire battery pack, it is not a big deal.
